Two-year deal for former QMJHL All-Star Mathieu Perreault

The Washington Capitals have re-signed former QMJHL All-Star and restricted free agent Mathieu Perreault to a two-year contract. Perreault was a sixth-round draft pick by Washington in 2006. He has 27 goals and 26 assists in 120 career NHL games.

The 24-year-old registered 16 goals and 14 assists last season.

Perreault recorded 93 goals and 192 helpers in 194 games with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan over three QMJHL seasons from 2005-06 to 2007-08.
