Former Moosehead named Sea Dogs assistant coach

SAINT JOHN, Wednesday, July 12, 2006 (QMJHL) – Gary Marsh, former Saint John Moosehead and Hardy Cup champion, has been appointed assistant coach of the Saint John Sea Dogs. He served last year as a scout for the second-year Sea Dogs.

Marsh, who retired last month as a teacher at Simonds High School, succeeds Mark Hussey whose work commitments have increased as a member of the Saint John Police Force. Hussey will remain with the Sea Dogs as a consultant.

Gary was a significant help to organization last year, particularly during the trading periods,” said Bob Tipper” LeBlanc, general manager of the Sea Dogs. His retirement from teaching has opened the door for him to become more involved with the team.”
