Sean Couturier Avenue to be unveiled July 23rd

Bathurst, NB, Thursday – The Acadie-Bathurst Titan confirmed that the long awaited unveiling for the Sean Couturier Avenue will take place on July 23rd and fans are invited to front row seats to the festivities!

Indeed, the presentation, which will be emceed by M. Peter Assaff, will begin at 11am at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre. The mayor of the city of Bathurst, M. Paolo Fongemie, will be amongst the presenters and the Titan will even seize the opportunity to unveil their new captain. The conference should end around 11:30am, but the celebration will only be moved outside, as fans are all invited to a barbeque with hot dogs and beverages. The grill will take place in front of the facility’s main entrance, and M. Couturier will take advantage of the opportunity to unveil the two street signs bearing his name.

A new page of history

A reminder that the entrance to the K.C. Irving Regional Centre will be named the Sean Couturier Avenue, thus changing the facility’s civic address to “14 Sean Couturier Avenue”. This initiative therefore pays tribute to the local athlete, and does so in the spirit of continuity with the history of the regional center.

The invitations are sent

Fans are thus invited to come in numbers to this event, not only to pay tribute to M. Couturier, but also to celebrate the arrival of the upcoming season, which is just around the corner.
