Rocket drop decision to Oceanic

Jess Tanguy's hat-trick led the way for the Rimouski Oceanic in a 6-1 win over the P.E.I. Rocket Sunday evening in Rimouski, Que. 
 
The loss drops the Rocket to a 17-12-2-0 season record and go 0-2 on its two-game Quebec road trip.
 
The Oceanic opened the scoring in the first period at 3:20 with a goal from Peter Trainor. Tanguy then gave the Oceanic a 2-0 lead at 12:52.
 
In the second period, Rimouski took a 3-0 lead with Tanguy's second goal of the game at 4:50 on the powerplay. The Rocket got on the board to make it a 3-1 game at 12:22 with Jack Nevins' first goal as a Rocket. Deverick Ottereyes and Alexis Pépin drew the assists.
 
In the third period, the Oceanic regained the three-goal lead at 7:01 with a powerplay goal from Francis Beauvillier. Tanguy's third of the game put the Oceanic up 5-1 at 14:12 before Frédérik Gauthier put them up 6-1 at 19:43.
 
Rocket goalie Maxime Lagace made 22 saves in the loss. 
 
Philippe Desrosiers made 24 saves in the win for Rimouski. 
 
The Rocket returns home to the Maritimes when it battles the Mooseheads in Halifax on Thursday Dec. 13 and then the Screaming Eagles in Cape Breton on Friday Dec. 14. Game time for both games is 7PM.
 
The Rocket returns home Sunday Dec. 16 against the Saint John Sea Dogs. It will be the last game before the Christmas break.
