Sydney - The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles are pleased to announce the appointment of Peter MacDonald to the position of General Manager - Business Operations. After graduating from CBU with a BBA Marketing degree, Peter joined the Eagles organization as the Director of Marketing and for the past seven years has worked closely with Past President Paul MacDonald and Director of Sales Bill Sidney in the promotion, marketing and sales aspects of the organization.

“We are very pleased to have Peter fill this important role with our organization and we are more than confident he will do an outstanding job” said Andre Cote Chair of the Executive Committee of the Board. “With the departure of past President Paul MacDonald, in May this year, and in keeping with the restructuring plans we commenced with the appointment of Pierre Roux as GM – Hockey Operations, we made the decision to redefine the administrative roles of the Team. The GM – Business Operations is a parallel position with the GM – Hockey Operations with both General Managers currently reporting to the Executive Committee of the Team. Peter will be responsible for overseeing sales, promotion, marketing and certain administrative functions of the organization.”

The Screaming Eagles further announce that Andre Cote, in his current capacity as Chair of the Executive Committee, will assume on an interim basis the responsibilities of President of the Team until such time as the Board of Directors approves the appointment for this position.
