Chicoutimi to play their next four home games at Palais des Sports in Jonquière


BOUCHERVILLE, FEBRUARY 12, 2018 — The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and the Chicoutimi Saguenéens today announced that the team will play its next four home games at the Palais des Sports in Jonquière due to the temporary closure of the Centre Georges-Vézina.

Last Friday, the City of Saguenay announced the closure of the Centre Georges-Vézina while Gemel Inc., an engineering consulting firm, proceeds with a structural analysis of the roof’s support structure for security purposes.

Since the announcement, the league has been working closely with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens organization and the City of Saguenay, on plans to ensure that minimal requirements are met for the presentation of the Saguenéens’ next home game which will take place at the Palais des Sports in Jonquière on February 18th.

The Chicoutimi Saguenéens will play the following games at the Palais des Sports in Jonquière:

February 18th—Quebec Remparts @ Chicoutimi Saguenéens—4:00 PM (ET)
February 20th—Shawinigan Cataractes @ Chicoutimi Saguenéens—7:30 PM (ET)
February 23rd—Val-d’Or Foreurs @ Chicoutimi Saguenéens—7:30 PM (ET)
February 28th—Rimouski Océanic @ Chicoutimi Saguenéens—7:30 PM (ET)

March 3rd—Halifax Mooseheads @ Chicoutimi Saguenéens—4:00 PM (ET)
