Halifax Mooseheads sniper Maxime Fortier has used his second consecutive 70+ point season to climb the Mooseheads all-time leaders list in franchise scoring. The Lachine, QC native is tied with former Mooseheads star Jakub Voracek for 12th in team history with 187 points and is only two points back of Brent Andrews. He is entering some rare territory and stamping his legacy as one of the legendary names in Moose Country.
With 14 games remaining in the regular season and the scoring pace that he’s on, Fortier could conceivably surpass Nikolaj Ehlers for sixth all-time knocking off names like Andrews, Troini, King, Hillier and Brine in the process. There’s a very good chance that the star forward will be back in Halifax for the 2017-18 season as an overage player meaning he could challenge Darcy Ashley for second most ever in a Moose uniform.
