A look at the QMJHL players selected in the 2018 NHL Draft

Many players lived a childhood dream this past weekend when they heard their name called during the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

This year, it’s 23 QMJHL players who took one step closer to the NHL, which is a little over 10% of all players selected at the draft. In total, 11 forwards, seven defencemen and five goaltenders found takers.

Last season, it was a total of 14 players who were selected from the Q, including two in the first round, in comparison to the four this year.
