It is current Ottawa Senators General Manager Pierre Dorion who announced the winner of the 2020-21 season’s Maurice-Filion Trophy.
Dorion worked in the NHL for 22 years before being named general manager of the Senators prior to the 2016-17 season. On top of his current functions at the NHL level, the 48-year-old has also been G.M. of the AHL’s Belleville Senators for two years now.
The finalists for QMJHL General Manager of the Year are Sylvain Couturier of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, Jim Hulton of the Charlottetown Islanders and Yanick Jean of the Chicoutimi Saguenéens.
