Two outdoor games in 2015

BOUCHERVILLE and SAINT-TITE, Wednesday June 18, 2014 – The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in collaboration with the Shawinigan Cataractes announced today that there will be outdoor games during the 2014-2015 season. Two games will be played on the site of the Saint-Tite Western Festival, one on Friday January 23rd against the Victoriaville Tigres and the other on Saturday January 24th against the Quebec Remparts. The three organizations were present for the announcement this morning.
“This is the first time in league history that QMJHL players will play outside,” said Commissioner Gilles Courteau. “Outdoor games are great gathering events for a community and I’m sure the Shawinigan Cataractes, the oldest franchise in the League, will organize two great events. In addition, I would like to thank the Tigres and the Remparts who will collaborate in these inaugural games.”
