QMJHL unanimously approves Quebecor’s ownership of two franchises

Following a recommendation by the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Commissioner, Gilles Courteau, the Board of Governors and the General Assembly of Members unanimously accepted the decision to maintain Quebecor as majority owner of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada and Quebec Remparts. This decision includes a clause prohibiting the two franchises from making trades between them, both directly and indirectly.

“The QMJHL can count on quality ownership and this decision insures the stability and sustainability of the League,” said the Commissioner. “Quebecor is an exemplary partner like all of our owners. We are fortunate to have strong business and socioeconomic leaders who are involved in their community and dedicated to the development of our young players.”
