The Pandemic Heroes | Alyssa & Natalia Johnston (CAP)

Alyssa and Natalia are sisters and both work as practicing nurses at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital here in Sydney. Alyssa is an avid Eagles fan who works in the PAT Unit/Day Surgery and continued to work full-time during the uncertain times of COVID-19. Her sister, Natalia, is an Eagles season seat holder, billet, and full-time nurse- If that wasn’t enough she is also in school studying to become a Nurse Practitioner. During the thick of the COVID-19 pandemic, Natalia worked as a surgical clinical nurse and also filled in at the hospital’s emergency department when there was a shortage of staff due to a potential exposure to the virus. We are grateful for their ongoing support of our team and community during these trying times. Their positive energy is contagious and we can’t wait to see them both around the Nest this season. On behalf of the entire Eagles organization we want to thank Alyssa, Natalia and all front-line workers who had- and continue to, have our backs during this pandemic.
