Hockey Canada announces rosters for 2019 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge



Hockey Canada has announced its three rosters – Team Canada Black, Team Canada Red, and Team Canada White – that will compete in the upcoming 2019 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge held in Medicine Hat, Alta., and Swift Current, Sask., from Nov. 2-9.

The three rosters include 56 talents from across the Canadian Hockey League, plus 10 players who have been previously selected in the WHL Bantam Draft as well the QMJHL Entry Draft.

The annual tournament also includes squads representing Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Sweden, and the United States. The Team Canada squads have medalled 37 times at the tournament, including a leading 13 times by the former Team Canada Ontario. Canada’s last medal came in 2017 when Team Canada Red took home silver.
