Boucherville, Que. – On this past Monday, January 16, former QMJHL official Dave Jackson reached an important milestone in his career.
The referee officiated in his 1500th National Hockey League (NHL) regular season game in the matchup opposing the Anaheim Ducks to the Colorado Avalanche.
Before joining the NHL ranks, it’s the QMJHL that was privileged to count on Dave Jackson’s outstanding work. Over the course of the 1984-85 and 1985-86 seasons, Jackson was one of its linesmen for 37 games.
Then, during the 1986-87 to 1988-89 seasons, he was one the QMJHL’s referees for another 69 games. The Montreal native also worked at the 1988 Memorial Cup tournament that was held in the city of Chicoutimi.
The QMJHL would like to recognize Mr. Dave Jackson’s recent accomplishment, obtained in his 29th season as part of the NHL. He is a proud representative of the QMJHL at the professional level and the QMJHL’s directors, members of the Officials committee and all referees would like to take this moment to congratulate mister Dave Jackson on his feat.
