Ambassadors Club Golf Tournament, a big success!

Over 120 League alumni, partners and sponsors came together for the first ever Ambassadors Golf Tournament last Wednesday in Boucherville. During the event, the League’s Commissioner, Gilles Courteau and the Ambassadors Club president, Guy Darveau, unveiled the Club’s logo. It’s worth noting that all of the QMJHL teams were present during the Tournament. “We are happy that the teams accepted our invitation” said the Commissioner. “This created a great atmosphere in which former players were able to bond with our different teams.” Among the participants were Philippe Boucher, Patrick Poulin, Jocelyn Thibault, Marco Scandella, Philippe Michäel Devos, Stéphane Fiset, Normand Lefrançois, Alain Rioux, Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Denis Morel, Roberto Bissonnette, Maxime Talbot, Pascal Leclaire and Pierre Lacroix. Michel Bergeron and Marc Fortier were both honorary copresidents of the event and made up a foursome with the League’s commissioner as well as the President of the Ambassadors Club, Guy Darveau.
The day started a 9 am with a brunch. At 10:30 the commissioner launched the season with a press conference during which he announced the many activities and partnerships the league has planned for 2012-2013. To end the days events, a cocktail was served for all the guests during which Michel Bergeron and Marc Lachapelle spoke and reminisced about some of their highlights with the League. An excellent time was had by all.
