The Olympiques draft Martin Reway

Gatineau, June 27, 2012- This morning took place the 2012 CHL Import Draft and for the occasion the Gatineau Olympiques drafted the left winger, Martin Reway.


Acquired as the 4th pick overall, Martin Reway is a Slovak of 5’09 and 165 pounds. Last season, Reway played for the HC Sparta Praha where he scored 21 goals and 39 assists in 25 games with the junior team on top of having 6 points in 5 games with the senior team.  He also took part in 13 games with the U18 National team of Slovakia where he scored 12 goals and 13 assists. He also took part of the 2011 world under-18 championship.


Let’s not forget that the Olympiques had made a trade with the Rockets of PEI during the last season which allowed them to obtain the 4th pick overall.


The Olympiques did not use their second round pick, since they confirmed the return of Tomas Hyka for next season.
