The 2012-2013 edition of the annual Media Guide QMJHL is already available, as the 44th season in the history of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League begins tonight.
This is the 15th consecutive edition that the statistician-in-chief of the QMJHL, Denis Demers, just prepared. You will see that this 352-page book is intended as a great reference tool to monitor the daily activities of the QMJHL.
It features the list of all the players, coaches and goaltenders that are in the League this season with their statistics. It also presents the leaders of all categories from last season, for the regular season, the playoffs and the MasterCard Memorial Cup. This season, the front page was dedicated to two great championship teams in 2011-12, the Shawinigan Cataractes and the Saint John Sea Dogs.
Well illustrated with older and more recent pictures, this guide presents the star players of all the teams of the QMJHL, among others, Jonathan Huberdeau, Nathan MacKinnon, Mikhail Grigorenko, Xavier Ouellet, Dillon Fournier, Christopher Gibson and the new-comer, Daniel Audette, from the Sherbrooke Phoenix.
The guide is also intended as a records book. It mentions the scores from rookie goalie Zachary Fucale (Halifax), defenceman Jerome Gauthier-Leduc (Rimouski), as well as that of Patrick Roy (Quebec City). Not to mention the extremely rare carried out by the Halifax Mooseheads in the playoffs against the Remparts, when they returned from a deficit of 0-3 in their series and won the battle in 7 games.
This “2012-2013 Media Guide” will be available throughout the season from our website www.lhjmq.qc.ca in the “LEAGUE” section. The content is a PDF version with a very good resolution. You can download the guide as of now. But be patient when downloading it, as it is an extremely large document.
