Defenseman Jakub Zboril has been named to the training camp roster for the Czech Republic national junior hockey team. The 2015 first-round selection of the Boston Bruins received an invitation to camp this week from the Czech Ice Hockey Association. He is scheduled to depart for the training camp this weekend.

Zboril, 19, has six goals and 17 points in 19 games in his third season for the Sea Dogs. The Brno-native played in five games for the Czech Republic at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship in Finland, recording one assist and 31 penalty minutes. Among other events, Zboril represented his country at the 2014 and 2015 U18 World Championship, the 2013 and 2014 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournaments and the 2013 World Junior A Challenge.

The 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship begins December 26 in Toronto and Montreal.
