Waked, Roy and Roy named the three stars of the week

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, November 7th, 2016 Antoine Waked, Hugo Roy and Nicolas Roy were named today the three stars of the week for October 31 to November 6, 2016.

The Rouyn-Noranda Huskies’ forward, Antoine Waked is the first star of the week. In 3 games, he scored 5 goals, added 4 assists, maintained a +5 rating and was chosen as one of the three stars in all three games. On Friday, he tied a personal high for goals (2) and points (4) in a single game as the Huskies beat the Halifax Mooseheads 5-1. Against the Gatineau Olympiques on Saturday, he participated in all of his teams’ 3 goals and scored in the shootout but that wasn’t enough for the win as the Huskies lost 4-3. He currently is tied for fourth in scoring with 26 points.

Hugo Roy, of the Sherbrooke Phoenix, is the second star. He scored 4 goals with 3 assists and finished the week with a +5 rating as the Phoenix won all 3 home games. On Friday against the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, he scored the game-tying goal and then scored again in overtime for a 3-2 win. On Sunday, he scored again in overtime, this time for a 4-3 win over the Rimouski Océanic.

The third star of the week is awarded to the Chicoutimi Saguenéens forward, Nicolas Roy. In 3 games, Roy was able to accumulate 7 points (3G, 4A) to help the Saguenéens win all 3-road games in the Maritimes this week. With a 2 goals and one assist performance, he was named the 2nd star in Charlottetown as the Sags beat the Islanders 5-1. His 1.53 point per game average is currently third best in the League.
