Remparts continue road trip in Saint John

The Quebec Remparts are in Saint John tonight to face the Sea Dogs. Quebec will play its second game in 24 hours and its second out of three games against teams from the Maritimes. After their victory yesterday against the Mooseheads, Philippe Boucher’s are 14-9-1-1 which earned them the fifth place in the league. Quebec won three of its last five outings, during which they scored 18 goals and allowed 19. The last time the Sea Dogs and Remparts clashed, Saint John won by 4 -2 score. WHO’S HOT… Swiss forward Philipp Kurashev continues on his momentum with six consecutive games with at least one point. During this sequence, Kurashev amassed 9 points (6g, 3a). Defenceman Ross MacDougall had 4 assists in yesterday’s victory against the Mooseheads.

The Saint John Sea Dogs will play a final game at home before playing the next four on the opposing rinks. Leading the Maritimes division and third in the standings, the Sea Dogs have won four of their last five clashes 26 goals scored and only 14 conceded. With 32.2%, the Sea Dogs have the best performance on the power-play and the second best shorthanded record with a 84.2% efficiency. WHO’S HOT… Top scorer, Mathieu Joseph continues to do well with 9 goals in his last eight games.
