Katerinakis, Beaudin and Fortier named the three stars of the week
BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, November 21st, 2016 – Alexander Katerinakis, Jean-Christophe Beaudin and Maxime Fortier were named today the three stars of the week for November 14 to 20, 2016.
Alexander Katerinakis, of the Blainville-Boisbirand Armada, is the first star of the week. He scored 4 goals, added 3 assists and maintained a +3 rating in 2 road games his week. He was named the first star in both of his team’s victories. He recorded 3 points on Friday in a 6-5 win over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies to help his team take the top spot in the League standings. Saturday, in a 5-4 victory over the Val-d’Or Foreurs, he scored 2 goals and added 2 assists for a personal game high 4 points in one game.
The second star is awarded to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies’ forward, Jean-Christophe Beaudin. In 2 games, he accumulated 8 points (1 goals, 7 assists), had a +5 rating and won 57% of the faceoffs he took. He was named the first star of the game on Saturday as he assisted on 4 of his team’s 8 goals in an 8-3 victory over the Rimouski Océanic.
The Halifax Mooseheads’ forward, Maxime Fortier is the third star of the week. In 2 games, he scored 3 goals and added 4 assists. Sunday, in a highly offensive game against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, his name appeared 6 times on the score sheet (2 goals, 4 assists) as the Mooseheads lost the game 11-10 in regulation. This was a tough lose as Fortier had tied the game in the last minute of play. With 20 points in his last 5 games, he now had a 3-point lead in the scoring race.
