Hopkins reaches 500-game plateau

The QMJHL would like to congratulate one of its officials, Jeff Hopkins, who recently worked in his 500th game as an official in both the regular season and playoffs.

This objective in his career path happened this past Thursday, on the 9th of November, 2017, in a game between the Sherbrooke Phoenix and their hosts, the Saint John Sea Dogs. For his feat, Langille was working alongside referee Tim Hamel, and linesmen Nicholas Dupuis and Justin Burchell.

Over the course of 15 regular seasons in the QMJHL, Hopkins has worked in 141 games as a linesman and another 292 as a referee to this day. He’s also added 27 games as a linesman and 40 as a referee during the playoffs.
