The Armada opened the scoring at 4:57 of the first. Giroux finished off a play started by Xavier Ouellet who had sped into the offensive zone.
Auger found one of his best friends playing a role as the Armada broke in and snapped a backhand shot off the crossbar.
Olivier LeBlanc saved a goal with Auger caught on the left post, as he went down on his knee to stop a wraparound attempt.
Marcoux somehow found a way to stop a streaking Kevin Gagne one a beautiful cross-ice feed from Oliver Cooper.
The Dogs found their way on to the scoreboard with only 30.3 seconds left in the first period on a complete scramble in front of the net. Tesink picked up the puck that had squirted free of Marcoux and lifted it into the back of the net on the power play for his sixth of the year assisted by Stephen MacAulay and Jonathan Huberdeau.
The second period started with the score 1-1 and saw the Sea Dogs start with the man advantage, with Marcoux shutting the door once again.
The Sea Dogs had two great chances to pull ahead just after the 12-minute mark. Tesink was situated just to the left of Marcous, took a pass from Huberdeau and had two chances before the puck was smothered. Marcus Cuomo forced a turnover right in front of the net, with Marcoux getting the blocker on it.
The Armada pulled ahead once again at 13:15 on a marker by Paquette.
Auger played his part to keep the game close in the second, making several big stops with the glove.
The shots in the second were 14-4 in favour of the Armada.
Auger started the third with a flurry of saves as Blainville came in hard. His last pad save in particular while he was down and out.
Despite a heavy Sea Dogs attack that saw them outshoot the Armada 14-8 in the final frame, the game would end 2-1 for Blainville.
